Mobile Observatory: Stargazing Experiences & Night Sky Tours

We provide stargazing experiences for private, 1-2-1, couples, family, groups, corporate events, schools, scout associations and weddings. We also host public stargazing events with our various partners across England and Wales.

On any stargazing evening our knowledgeable astronomers will come along with a high quality telescope/equipment which can be set up from your home (or somewhere close to home) and take you on a tour across the night sky so you have more time exploring space, seeing incredible celestial sights and less time worrying about how the telescope works, what to look for and where to find the objects. 

Clear skies are precious and we don't have an abundance of them in the UK, so you don't want to miss the window of opportunity. Come and see the best celestial sights the night sky has to offer. 

Yes. Our observatory is mobile and we have been stargazing in most counties across England and Wales.

We cover the cost of travel to any location that is 50 miles from CV37 9DA (Stratford-Upon-Avon) in the standard price of a stargazing experience.
We only require additional travel costs to any location further than 50 miles from CV37 9DA.

We operate our stargazing experiences all year round, every month from sunset to sunrise, whenever the skies are clear enough. The start times for stargazing experiences vary by month based on sunset and sunrise times. Here are the monthly start times:

• January-February: Earliest start: 6pm-7pm; Latest start: 5am
• March-April: Earliest start: 7pm-10pm; Latest start: 3:30am
• May-June: Earliest start: 10pm-11pm; Latest start: 2am
• July-August: Earliest start: 11pm-10pm; Latest start: 2:30am
• September-October: Earliest start: 8pm-6pm; Latest start: 4:30am
• November-December: Earliest start: 6pm-5pm; Latest start: 5am

You can choose a time that suits you when booking your experience.

NOVA operates its stargazing experiences in every county across England and Wales. Wherever our customers want to go stargazing we will be there. We can travel to any location within 50 miles of Stratford-Upon-Avon, CV37 9DA, which is included in the standard price of the experience. For locations beyond 50 miles, additional travel costs may apply. We are happy to find suitable locations based on your postcode, and we can also conduct experiences from your garden if it's suitable.
